Nurturing Talent With Young Apprenticeships
Meet Laura Quinn one of our Young Apprentices at Jigsaw Law in Ellesmere Port. As a business we’re keen to nurture talent, giving young people the opportunity to learn whilst actually doing a job, so apprenticeships are the perfect fit for us.

After leaving South Wirral High School, Laura went on to Birkenhead Sixth Form to do her A-Levels, where she studied Business, Mathematics and Sociology. Laura “I didn’t know what I wanted to do when I was at school, I didn’t even think apprentices were applicable to people my age. I found out about the apprenticeship vacancy after speaking to an agency who asked if I wanted to apply for a position with Jigsaw Law.” We’re so glad that she accepted and know that she has never looked back!
"As a legal administration apprentice, I deal with incoming emails and phone calls, faxes and general enquiries, I also help out with the paperwork." Laura describes herself as “a confident, quick learner with some experience in admin” just perfect for the role!
Having been with Jigsaw Law since May 2014, Laura’s learned a great deal about the personal injury services that we provide, and says working with the solicitors in the firm has helped her to learn how a personal injury claim actually works. Talking about work and the people she works with Laura said “I love how close work is to home, and the people in my team are great fun, plus it’s a really nice office environment, it’s got it all."
If Laura was to speak to someone thinking about applying for an apprenticeship; "I’d highly advise it! I’m really happy working at Jigsaw Law and know the future is promising being a part of a constantly growing company. I can see there’s an opportunity to work my way up in the company, and would love to work towards becoming a solicitor or working in accounts." Laura sings the praises of Jigsaw Law, saying she’s constantly being helped to achieve her goals, and with the resources available in-house, she’s excited to keep growing.
But it’s not all work work work, when Laura isn’t in the office, she likes spending her time with her friends and family, and she’s also a majorette. We’re really excited about the future and training young people like Laura is a key part of our success plan.
