Rachel Stewart - Solicitor
Qualified since November 2012.
Joined Jigsaw Law November 2012.
Career profile I completed an Exempting Law degree at Northumbria University during which time I was lucky enough to spend a year in France studying French law. After graduating I worked for a firm in Liverpool dealing with interventions and then worked in conveyancing for 3 years. I moved into personal injury law six years ago and I now specialise in road traffic accidents.
Why a career in law? I studied law at university because I thought it would be an interesting subject. I find my work both rewarding and a challenge.
Personal life I enjoy swimming and try to go a couple of times a week, long walks in Wales with my husband and completing the odd jigsaw puzzle (no pun intended!)
Real-life hero I would have to say Emmeline Pankhurst. She and the other suffragettes were inspirational in paving the way for women to vote and work on an equal basis with men.
Did you know? I can speak fluent French thanks to my time spent studying there.
