Can I make a claim for my accident?
If you have suffered an injury as the result of an accident which wasn’t your fault, there are a number of factors to consider when looking to make a claim. Our legal team will discuss your accident circumstances with you, and based on our legal knowledge and experience, will advise if you have a suitable case to proceed. There are a number of different ways you can get in touch with us; you can start your claim online using our simple form, request a call back or call us direct on 0845 340 0509.
Will I have to pay anything towards my case?
Jigsaw Law operate on a no win no fee basis which means should we fail to win your case, you will not be charged for our service. However, should your claim be successful and we win your case, we will deduct 25% of your final compensation to cover our legal fees. By law we are able to deduct 25% of your final compensation award towards our legal costs. If we are acting for you on this basis we will have discussed this with you at the outset of your claim. There may be exceptions to this which your solicitor will discuss with you.
How much compensation will I receive for my injuries?
Levels of compensation vary a great deal from person to person as injuries affect us all differently. Each case we deal with has unique circumstances, some people might recover fairly quickly following their personal injury, and others may not. There are also additional losses which you may need to be compensated for which can include, loss of earnings for example. You can rest assured we will work to get you a fair compensation deal as swiftly as possible, so you can put your life back together again.

My vehicle was badly damaged in an accident. Can you arrange for it to be repaired?
As long as it’s safe for your vehicle to be repaired and it hasn’t been written off, at Jigsaw Law we will arrange for one of the many garages we partner with to inspect your vehicle and make the necessary repairs. During this time you will have the use of a hire vehicle so you will not be inconvenienced in any way. We will recover the cost of the inspection, repairs and hire vehicle from the insurers of the at fault driver.
Will I need a medical?
To support your claim, a medical will need to be carried out in order to assess and record the injury you have sustained, and the level of pain and suffering experienced. You will not be physically examined but will have a consultation with a medical professional who specialises in assessing personal injury.
How long will my injury claim take?
Each case we take on is different. Some smaller claims with minimal injuries can be resolved in a matter of months but more complex cases can take longer. Timescales will be dependent on a number of factors, such as the accident circumstances, the level of injuries sustained, medical reports and third party co-operation. Your solicitor will give you advice on the settlement amount you are offered, as it’s important to remember that your symptoms may worsen over time which you will be unable to claim for if you have previously accepted a full and final compensation figure.
Jigsaw Law aim to progress your claim as quickly and efficiently as possible whilst using our expertise to win you a fair compensation deal.
I’ve had an accident at work but I’m worried about claiming against my employer
If you’ve sustained an injury within your workplace due to someone else’s negligence, then you are legally entitled to pursue a claim. Your employer cannot take any action against you for doing so. It's important to remember, you will not be claiming against your employer or receive compensation from them but rather, their insurer. All employers are legally required to have an insurance policy in place to cover staff accidents.
There are many different circumstances in which you could be injured in the workplace. Take a look at our information pages and see how we could help you.
